For the Madrid Council we created one of our most complete illustration projects, the invention of the character Clara, created in order to convey concepts such as citizenship and sustainability. This project has been selected to appear in “Select G” (Index Books) and “Growing graphics.”
Clara is a playful character with a hint of know-it-all that we created in order to help children understand concepts such as citizenship, recycling and environment.
The two books “Clara y su ciudad” and “Clara tiene dos caminos” were the first two orders from the City Hall of Madrid.
These stories were distributed to schools throughout Madrid. The design, layout and illustrations were created by Se ha ido ya mamá.
These illustration projects have been selected twice to be part of prestigious collections of design books. Our first recognition was in 2008, “Clara y su ciudad” on Select G (Index Books), Graphic design from Spain. The second occurred in 2009, Growing Graphics – Design for kids, through a book that brings together international projects concerning the visual universe of children.
Those projects have been awarded in two occasions. In 2008 “Clara y su ciudad” was selected to be part of Select G, Graphic design from Spain and in 2009 to be included in Growing Graphics – Design for kids, an international compilation of projects around designing for kids.
